# HypeCheck Product Details

HypeCheck turns rough startup ideas into AI validation reports.

The goal is not to generate more startup ideas. The goal is to help builders kill weak assumptions earlier.

## Report Sections

Each HypeCheck report can include:

- Hype Score: a 0 to 100 viability score
- Verdict: a clear build-or-don't-build recommendation
- Market opportunity: market sizing and opportunity analysis
- Competitive landscape: who exists, what they miss, and where the opening may be
- Execution risk: practical risks before building
- Monetization viability: whether the idea has pricing power
- Demand signals: evidence of people discussing the problem
- Next step: what to do after reading the report

## Pricing Model

HypeCheck uses one-time report credits.

- Free tier: 3 reports per account
- Single report credit: $5
- 10 report credit pack: $8.99
- No subscriptions
- No recurring charges
- Purchased credits do not expire

The pricing model is intentionally simple because startup validation is often an occasional workflow, not something every builder wants as a monthly subscription.

## Open-Source Stack

HypeCheck is open source and built with:

- Next.js
- Supabase
- Claude Sonnet 4.6 by default, configurable with `ANTHROPIC_MODEL`
- Dodo Payments
- Vercel

The app includes authentication, report generation, payments, public report sharing, report history, legal pages, and production deployment wiring.

## Limitations

HypeCheck does not replace customer discovery. It is a fast first-pass reality check that helps builders spot weak assumptions before investing more time.

Builders should still validate with real customers, landing page tests, pricing experiments, and direct conversations.
